I know this place is a staple of downtown Port, but I can take it or leave it. The food isn't bad, but I could whip up something better at home in less time that I spent waiting for my food. It's a decent place to go if you don't feel like making breakfast. Really that's just it. It's not that I wouldn't recommend this place, it's just not the first place that would pop in my head when recommending this place to someone looking to go out to breakfast.

Good solid breakfast food. Definitely the kind of diner where the locals go and everyone knows each other. I'd come back!

Last time I visited Harry's I ordered the egg salad sandwich and was incredibly pleased. The restaurant is nothing fancy, but you can always expect a quality meal.

I have lived in Port for several years and I'm still I guess an outsider. This place is a dive. There been talk of tearing it down to build some condo's. There's been many who protest and are against change. To that I say if they sold tickets to when this place is torn down I would be first in line. This place was last decorated in the 1960's. This also would apply to that new technology called charge cards because if that's all you have then no food for you. If you ask an employee of Harry if they have apple pay they will just think you want to buy an apple. The carpet is so dirty and worn it looks the the same carpet in the first 5 minutes of every Law and Order SVU episodes. The in laws love this place. Another thing the boss (wife) with held from me. They love going here after church along with half the city. I guess when you clean yourself of sins at church you need to fill your self with germs. The bathroom is by the griddle for the kitchen. What could go wrong I'm sure nothing could get out. A little spice I guess. Every time I have been forced to go I get Harry's revenge about one hour later.

Pros: quick seating, friendly staff Cons: mediocre food at best (eg canned mushrooms on my mushroom cheddar omelet!). Corn syrup "maple syrup" for pancakes. We ordered our hashbrowns extra-crispy and they came pale yellow and mushy. Dang! Waste of time, calories (for the small amount we ate) and money. And my husband just chimed in that the bathroom was disgusting.

This is the second time I have had breakfast at Harry's. Brought my oldest daughter along this time. The food is everything you would expect from an old fashioned diner; large portions and fairly priced. The place is really hopping on Sunday mornings so either go early or expect a short wait to be seated(we were seated in less then ten minutes) if you happen to be alone sit at the counter, the view of the line chefs working in concert is fun to watch. Friendly, efficient wait staff, great atmosphere and great food, also the hash browns are amazing. Cheers!

I wanted to like Harry's, both times I ate there. To be fair this review is not meant to discourage you from going here. Both times I ate here the food was just okay. I was not wowed by the pancakes or the Eggs Benedict. To boot the toast was totally burnt and the person who buttered it must love burnt toast because he/she proudly placed it on the plate next to the eggs like it was no biggie. It took like 10 minutes to get the waitress' attention to get new toast. She was busy but also mildly neglected to return to the table after placing the food. Maybe the third times a charm?

It's not the most good-looking place, and it sucks they don't accept credit cards, but there is no better place in town for chocolate chip pancakes!

This place obviously has been around for a while. Small town diner around the corner from the harbor. Clean well worn seats and tables with a 60's feel to it. Small counter top eating area overlooking the grill and the cook flinging out breakfast platters to the wait staff. If your a fan of classic diner food and atmoshere, this place is for you!

I had breakfast at Harry's restaurant. Coffee was hot and tasty. We ordered the special with biscuits and sausage gravy with two eggs, two orders of bacon, toast. and biscuits and sausage gravy. The overall bill around 17 plus a 3 dollar tip. service was pretty good, quality of food fair nothing spectacular. Eggs came just as ordered sausage gravy was pretty generic along with Bacon.

Very popular Breakfast place in town, but I think it is because the town is small. The food was decent, the restaurant is kind of dusty (needs some remodeling and wiping down). Our waitress was nice enough but it gets very crowded and very busy on the weekends. I would suggest to eat there for breakfast but don't expect a 5 star experience. They also accept Cash only.

This place has been here for a long time and its interior reflects that. I love vintage stuff, but some of the equipment in here just looks dirty and worn out. The staff is always friendly, though. I thought the biscuits and gravy was pretty good, but I have also had some pretty mediocre food from here in the past. A nice stop if you want cheap, small-town diner food, but not if you're looking for a fresh, delicious meal.

Breakfast was fantastic. "Eggs and hash" just the way I asked for it. Price with food, coffee was $8.40 which was well worth the food portion. Staff was courteous and fast. Restaurant is in an centenarian building, so do not expect new and exciting digs. Clean bathrooms. Steps leading in so wheelchair access is a bit limited, I'm not certain if there is another entrance at ground level. Large menu selection.

Good old fashioned diner. Clean. Great food at low prices

If all you care about is cheap, fast, and friendly, this place does the job. They also have a pretty good menu. I was torn about giving them 2 or 3 stars because I don't want to be mean but to be honest, we didn't eat most of our food because it was so ridiculously greasy so I can't justify the third star. Further, it just doesn't taste that good. Still, our waitress was super friendly and efficient so if you are in a hurry this isn't a terrible option.

The restaurant as a building is nothing to write home about. The booths are old and the tables have seen better days. Nonetheless, they are clean and if you are looking for a great breakfast at a great price, look no further.

Sorry was really looking forward to this place, but just could not do it again! Staff was friendly enough and it was your typical old fashioned (needs major updating) but seemed clean enough place. The waffles were ok your standard. Sausage gravy (we were really looking forward to) was pretty good but the bisquits were tosted in some kind of grease and not the good kind just aweful I think they used it on the hash browns also. What a shame maybe if they update that it would help.

Breakfast review - Harry's does a good solid breakfast. Not a lot of flash and foofoo, but the chow is tasty and well-made. They have a healthy assortment of omelettes and some skillet dishes (French skillet is particulary nice), and some standard meat and egg combinations, and biscuits and gravy with eggs, good for the cold and rainy mornings, also Eggs Benedict. It's a popular spot with locals and has its dependable breakfast crowd. Good coffee, good food and service. One side is booths and a counter, and the other side is tables, go ahead and seat yourself. They are about a block away from the marina and open at 5:30 AM, so you can have a early breakfast and then go look at the boats.

i will never eat at Harrys. If you like your food from jars, cans or plastic by all means go there. I personally expect a restaurant to serve fresh food. If i wanted cheap and processed food i would hit a drive through. Shocked that this place even had customers and is still in business. no thank you. I highly, HIGHLY recommend going else where. I ordered the western omelet and it came to me in about 5/7 minutes i should have questioned that alone. All i was able to taste was the Kraft single slices of cheese laid in the omelet that I ordered. The mushrooms where clearly from a jar or can. this wasn't what i would consider as restaurant food. I would be scared to come back and try anything else.
